A human does not age by arbitrary 365-day blocks; rather, birthdays mark the cyclical progression through specific Gregorian calendar dates. **Calendar Borrow Logic:** When the birth day-of-month is higher than the target day-of-month, naive subtraction fails. Our algorithm executes true astronomical calendar-borrow arithmetic: 1. If target days < birth days, we borrow the exact number of days from the preceding calendar month. For instance, transitioning from January 31 to March 1 in a leap year correctly accounts for February's 29 days, avoiding artificial shifts. 2. If target months < birth months, we borrow 1 full year (12 months) from the target year. **Leap Day Births (February 29):** For individuals born on February 29 during a leap year, non-leap years do not contain a 29th day of February.
